Rain Water For Concrete Curing
"Do you harvest rainwater? If not, start today!"
When talking about rain water harvesting, it is a process used for collecting and storing rainwater for human use. Actually, as humans we should protect water and we have to minimize the wastage of water.
After The concrete Process we have to keep the concrete about 14-21 days without getting dry. So, for this process we should put water. This is the Process of concrete Curing. So, in this concrete curing process they have already used rain water. So my opinion is by doing these kinds of ways we can get the maximum usage of rain water and on the other hand we also can save water .
Concrete is a construction material which is a viscous liquid mix of aggregate, cement and water at the beginning and needs a certain time period to get hardened and gain strength. The process of hardening and gaining strength is an exothermic chemical reaction and known as “setting of concrete". A good setting process leads to quality concrete. So, you should cure (look after) fresh concrete to ensure that its setting process continues in a healthy way.
Water taught lessons that the rest of the world could not. Water is a key component of all concrete, mixing with cement and causing it to hydrate and gain strength. But after freshly mixed concrete has been placed, water in the form of a driving rain can do much more harm than good. Pouring concrete in the rain can compromise its strength, increasing the tendency for dusting and scaling to develop.
